Your protection dog will be custom trained here at our breeding/training facility in upstate NY. We use a tried and true methodology that reflects our philosophy combined with techniques designed by our certified staff members using information you provided your breeder/trainer during lengthy phone conversations and /or E-mails,text messages etc. Not all protection dogs are created equal, and no two families are exactly alike. We do our absolute best by taking the time and making the effort to fit our dogs into their new home and family. We pride ourselves on being able to honestly say we have been successfully doing so for 20 years and have many references who are willing to support our claims. After twenty years many of our clients are repeat customers who we now consider our friends and the feelings are mutual. Anyone who buys a protection dog from our kennel is getting a dog that was bred and whelped using our breeding stock that represents 20 years of breeding. They are then raised and trained by our family staff at our facility here in the USA. WE DO NOT IMPORT DOGS AND FLIP THEM FOR A PROFIT.
There is a standard three day delivery process designed to introduce all family members who are residents of the home to the dog and familiarize them with the training methods and techniques used to handle the dog in any and all situations. This process may require additional days depending on the situation. The client will be billed for any additional training days. Example: People such as care providers for the home and it's occupants, maids, butlers, chefs, etc. who will be in constant direct contact with the family dog will be required to have some degree of training. Your protection dog is a clear headed professional capable of discerning who or what is a threat. Schooling non members of your family who will have contact with your dog will provide them with the confidence they'll need to avoid arousing your dog's suspicion. They will be taught how and why they will need to avoid making contact with your protection dog. They will need to remain "neutral" and they will be taught to understand why.

What you can look forward to experiencing during the standard TNU delivery process:
We prefer to start the delivery with long walks through your neighborhood with the primary handler handling the family's new protection dog. We incorporate one on one walks with each family member accompanied by one trainer the first morning of the delivery. We like to then follow up in the afternoon with another walk possibly incorporating a park or a densely populated place like a mall.We sometimes opt to grab a sandwich at the local deli while involving multiple and/or all family members and both trainers. In between the walks through the neighborhood we'll introduce your new protection dog to the boundaries of his yard and areas that are either totally off limits or areas that require some getting used to only while under your supervision. There are always variables to consider when environmental distractions present themselves. During outings whoever is handling the dog will be closely monitored and instructed on how to maintain the role of "Alpha". The handler will be supervised by one of the trainers at all times and every family member will have multiple opportunities to properly and successfully handle the family protection dog while in public.
Car rides: Lunches at the local sandwich shop/deli: Hiking your favorite trails: Playing fetch in the side yard:A trip to your favorite pet store: Relaxing in your favorite shady spot: Sitting quietly in the family room with your new protection dog at your side discussing among your family members and trainers what you might want to experience next: Basically getting to know your new dog with, as well as without environmental distractions. (Keep in mind that we have three days to transfer ownership to your family. Also keep in mind that we are always just a phone call away.) Perhaps we'll be discussing the upcoming scenarios that will require the dog to become aggressive with an intruder, or perhaps a carjacker. Before the delivery is over these scenarios are going to take place in and around your home. It's inevitable that before the delivery is over that each adult family member will be handling and controlling the family protection dog in one or multiple scenarios. Before the TNU staff leave your home everyone will have a good understanding of what a real protection dog provides and what the true value of the real protection dog is.
